FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
17 August 2015
Radical Waters, the leaders in Electrochemically Activated Water (ECA) solutions in the beverage industry will present its innovative technology at the Anadolu EFES supplier summit 2015 for the first time.
Anadolu EFES has a total of 16 beer processing facilities consisting of 5 in Turkey, 6 in Russia, 2 in Kazakhstan and one in Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, along with 6 malt and 1 hop factories. Anadolu EFES is the 5th largest European brewer and no.10 in the world in terms of sales volume.
The key objective of the supplier summit is to identify new technological innovations to implement in Anadolu EFES. Some topics that will be covered include Energy and water savings, packaging efficiency and maintenance and new brewery process technologies.
“Water conservancy and the environment are critical issues right now and ECA is a stand out technology with these factors in mind. We are making good progress because ECA makes sense for a lot of beverage producers. Once the benefits are fully understood, it proves to be a logical and sustainable move away from chemicals. We look forward to attending this summit to share our knowledge and expertise with EFES” says Nikki Wilson VP Marketing at Radical Waters.
Eco-friendly ECA detergent and disinfectant solutions eliminates the need for high temperatures, as well as removes the rinse between the detergent and the disinfectant steps thus reducing cleaning to a 4 step process from a 5 step process. The results are a considerable reduction in the loss of valuable production time. This time saving cleaning process also saves energy and water for the bottler, resulting in greater profits and a greener CIP process.
The Radical Waters patented methodology helps beverage plants achieve their sustainability goals and improve profitability by providing, amongst others, the following benefits:
· Increased production time due to less time having to be spent on CIP;
· Microbial decontamination;
· Reduction or complete elimination of costly and harmful chemicals;
· Elimination of the need to heat water resulting in significant energy savings;
· Elimination of pesticide contaminants;
· Significant water savings; and
· Flavour and residue elimination
The application of Radical Waters ECA technology in one of the world’s leading brewery plants achieved the following cost savings: Water savings of 83%; Time reduction of 43%; Energy savings due to cleaning at ambient temperature of up to 98%; and Chemical cost savings of 99%.
Electro-chemically Activated Water (ECA) is highly effective against 99, 9999% of microbes as well as in the removal of Biofilm.
