When asked why TaiChem thought ECA would be accepted in their market, Jaimee Camangon commented, “TaiChem strongly believes in the direction, purpose and the science of ECA technology.  The technology offers cost savings and efficiencies for a great number of industries. Every competitive company that aims to improve its processes, save money and time in delivering a product that is available on demand, will definitely be interested in the ECA solution.  In addition to its huge money and time savings potential, ECA technology presents a better alternative, if not the best reliable alternative, in eliminating conventional use of chemicals in the manufacturing or processing of food and beverages that is both safe and environmentally friendly”.

The Philippine population has grown to nearly 100 million and this is the main driver behind the increased demand for food products, processed food and beverages.  The food and beverage sector is the biggest manufacturing industry in the country and accounts for 40% of the country’s total manufacturing output. The industry represents a gross added value of US$2.0 billion annually.

“As domestic processors continually face production challenges such as increased energy costs, increased competition due to increased imports and inadequate infrastructure, these companies are always in search of “radical” solutions that reduce their production costs without sacrificing product quality.  ECA technology is the solution to producing competitively priced food and beverage products” says Camangon.

She concludes, “After we signed the distributor agreement earlier this year, we are proud to announce that a global beverage company awarded TaiChem and Radical Waters a major project integrating ECA technology into 7 major beverage plants across the Philippines”.

Carla Fiford, MD of Radical Waters comments, “We are delighted to be working with TaiChem.  Their extensive experience and excellent reputation in the food and beverage industry makes them a wonderful partner. Taichem has highly qualified teams on site enabling us to offer our joint clients unparalleled service”.

Chairman of Radical Waters, Dion Friedland added “Taichem further extends Radical Waters dominance in the beverage sector worldwide.  Taichem’s expertise in the water sector complements Radical Waters unmatched knowledge of ECA. Together, Taichem and Radical Waters should provide outstanding benefits to the food and beverage sectors in the Philippines. In addition, Taichem is well positioned to provide excellent after sales service and maintenance which is of paramount importance to our customers ”.

ECA has become a topic of great interest for leading beverage and food companies as the “new alternate sanitation technology”. Radical Waters’ environmentally friendly “green “ solutions offer an effective substitute for chemical cleaning-in-place (CIP). Plants using Radical Waters’ ECA technology repeatedly report substantial cost savings due to increased production time and reduced energy, chemical, heating and water usage in their Cleaning in Place processes all of which add up to greater profits.

Radical Waters is in discussion with qualified distributors for its ECA technology in other markets.
