Before responding to business opportunities within the European Union, Radical Waters’ Electro-chemically Activated Water (ECA) Generators had to comply with strict European manufacturing standards. Subsequently, the company obtained CE mark certification for its natural ECA Generators in August this year and is now able to market its sanitizing solutions in these overseas markets.
‘The CE mark is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential health and safety requirements set out in European Directives/ says Ronnie Delport of Actuating Consultants (Pretoria). He adds: ‘To permit the use of a CE mark on a product, proof that the item meets the relevant requirements must be documented. A final risk assessment is performed to verify compliance of the system and a final Declaration of Conformity is then issued’.
Says Alastair Stride, Radical Waters md: “We’re excited at the prospects the CE mark will bring to the company, which is expanding rapidly. It was a necessary next step for us to take so as to broaden our business opportunities in the EU: ECA solutions are produced using only natural ingredients: water, salt and electricity are fed through the patented reactor system to produce a natural sanitiser. The solutions a re safe on and in all food and beverage environments, fast acting and effective in eliminating harmful mic robes and pathogens.
